Throughout the course of the year the Centre hold various events to generate funds. It is also the intention that more social activities should be held so the Centre becomes as much a place to “drop-in” for a cuppa and a chat as for the more serious task of undergoing therapies.

The main event of the year is the Sponsored Walk & Wheelchair Push across the Imber military range. We are very fortunate that the Army grant us permission to hold this event as the range is closed to the general public. Imber is a village that was requisitioned by the Army during the Second World War for training but it was never given back. Today, it still forms a significant part of the Salisbury Plain Training Area but very little of the village remains.
The event starts at Gore Cross and finishes at the Centre, which is approx. 10.5 miles west, with a barbeque. Whilst plenty of wrecked tanks are in evidence it is perfectly safe and provides a great day out.

Do you fancy holding a coffee morning to raise funds? Cycling from Land’s End to John o’Groats? Parachute jump? The list is endless.
Many of our members hold events at their homes or in their local area and raise much needed funds. Discuss your ideas with the Fundraising Committee or the Manager and make it a reality.
